Frequently asked questions about Immigration Psychological Evaluations:

In-depth interviews at your own pace and comfort level, meant to gather your history, your current circumstances, your emotional and mental health, and other relevant details that may impact your case.

Any existing evidence will be noted in the report to support your case.

Reports are conducted by a licensed mental health clinician who specializes in trauma therapy. Each report is comprehensive, truthful, accurate, and uses evidence-based tools.

While clients often report having feelings of relief and comfort as a result of the interview, it is important to note that evaluations are not therapy.

An immigration psychological evaluation can be valuable evidence in many cases. If your attorney recommends that you receive such an evaluation, he or she feels that, based on your particular circumstances, one of our psychological evaluations would likely help your case.

I offer psychological evaluations for the following types of cases:

  • Asylum
  • U-visa
  • T-visa (Human Trafficking)
  • VAWA (Violence Against Women’s Act)
  • Extreme Hardship Waiver (I-601, I-601A, I-212, etc.)
  • and more…

You may do your interview in my office or through a secure video conferencing platform, for which a link will be provided prior to the appointment.

The evaluation generally lasts approximately 2 - 3 hours, including the interview and the completion of the assessment instruments and psychological questionnaires.

The first draft of the report typically takes 2 weeks from the date of the interview to complete. Once the first draft is completed, it is emailed to you and to your attorney for review. Any necessary changes and updates will be made before mailing the completed report to your attorney. A copy of the final report can also be mailed to you upon your request.

For an additional charge, you may request that the first draft be completed faster than the typical 2 weeks.

  • 1 week turnaround +$200
  • 3 day turnaround +$350
