Over the years we have successfully conducted over 400 immigration evaluations in cases including but not limited to U-visas, VAWA/Domestic violence petitions, Asylum Cases, Cancelation of Removal cases, and Extreme Hardship Waivers. With a specialization in trauma and over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, Well Way Counseling has a true grasp of the psychological aspects related to the legal needs of each immigration case. Althia McLaughlin is a bilingual licensed psychotherapist who offers immigration evaluations in-person and via tele-health in English or Spanish. For individuals who do not speak English or Spanish, interpreters may be used.
As you know, psychological evaluations for immigration cases can be extremely powerful forms of evidence in immigration cases. They can oftentimes be the piece of evidence that makes a difference between whether or not a case is won.
As the daughter of an immigrant, Althia is deeply committed to this work.
